      • Cover sunscreen as a OTC expense.

        Following a determination a few years ago by the FDA that sunscreen reduces the incidence of skin cancer, the IRS provisionally considers this as a directly reimbursable medical expense. Nearly every other HRA/HSA system allows sunscreen as an OTC expense without a prescription.

          expense report sites like Expensify.com allow employers and employees to link bank accounts to making reimbursement via ACH quick and paperless. It would be really nice if Zane added this.

            My husbands company uses Wageworks and it is so nice! It is so easy to just have paid your medical bill at the office and then with your smart phone take a photo to submit the receipt!

              This is something we absolutely want to do in the future. Right now we’re working on ensuring the best participant experience possible on a traditional browser before we set our sights on a mobile application, but we don’t think we’re too far off!

                    Rather than bill every time an employee enrolled, add the charge to the following month to reduce accounting entries.

                    • Start a claim, and save it for later without submitting it

                      With the new documentation requirements, getting the proof of payment piece can take a while. However, I'd still like to be able to start the claim when I pay the premium invoice, and then be able to go back to it later and add the missing pieces.

                        One of the things we’re hoping to do in the near future is to refine the way you submit claims, making it even easier for you to navigate the site and submit a full claim. We’re exploring a few options but we want to get it just right.

                        In the mean time, you can always keep the documentation you’ll need in a folder until you’re ready to submit a full claim. If you have any questions about acquiring the necessary documents, don’t hesitate to give our support team a call! With the right documentation we promise to get your claim processed in 1-2 days.

                          Fix cause your phone system so I don't get all they way to caller number 1 and it sets me back to caller number 6! Been on hold for 25 minutes now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                I got an email saying one of my employee claims had a problem. Mr Garcia submitted a proof of insurance written in Spanish.

                                • Automate payroll reimbursements

                                  We run payroll ourselves through a QuickBooks desktop software with payroll subscription.
                                  Our Workers Comp is already integrated through an application into QuickBooks and automatically transmits the payroll data to the insurance carrier (The Hartford).
                                  This would be a great way to upload payroll reimbursements to Zane as well.
                                  No manual processing necessary.

                                    Claims processor can add comments and communicate through the claim, the user (me) can only attach documentation. I would like to be able to ask question through a claim, for instance to make a response to a question added to my claim by the processor. Today I need to call in, why can't I add a reply or comment in the claim itself?

                                    • Replicate the "Pending Forms" report for Recurring claims on the home page like is done for Monthly laims

                                      When trying to determine the status of a reocurring claim request I looked on the Home page and all I saw was that the "Claims" report was empty. It was not clear to me that I had to select a hyperlink on the page to se the status of my claim request. I called in to support and the technician helped me find that item

                                        Many consumers are running into problems when choosing health insurance plans. Some have been directed to choose a plan based on price. Many have wanted to switch their plan only to find that if they have paid their first premium they are stuck in the plan until the next open enrollment period. I think their needs to be a consumer guide that shows the benefits of working with an agent which includes the fact that there is no extra cost for doing so.
